Cooper House is the home of Presbyterian Campus Ministry (PCM) at
Virginia Tech. The Presbyterian Student Fellowship (PSF) hosts most
of its activities. Students are invited to make Cooper House a 'home
away from home' for relaxing and spending time with friends.
Presbyterian Campus Ministry also serves the community by providing
a home for several community organizations. The counseling service
is staffed by independent counselors certified in a variety of
fields. They provide affordable professional counseling to people
from a wide range of socio-economic situations. The Society of
Friends meets every Sunday at Cooper House.
Better
Agreements, Inc., a mediation service is located at Cooper
House, as is the Executive Director’s office for the
Valley Interfaith Child Care Center. VICCC
provides high quality education and care for infants and toddlers
from low-income working families. At least eight other nonprofit,
self-help, and community service organizations regularly use the
facility, which is owned by Presbytery of the Peaks.
Cooper House has a long history of social justice and community
ministry through the various organizations housed there through the
years. If you have such an organization looking for a home, contact
Cooper house at 552-2473
This year at Cooper House the Presbyterian
Student Fellowship meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM.
